DIRECTOR
Holly Druckman

In 2010, Ms. Druckman founded and directed the Columbia New Music Ensemble, where she premiered works by student composers side-by-side with classics of the contemporary repertoire. Over the years, she has been engaged as a guest conductor with the new music ensembles Cygnus, counter)induction, and Face the Music.
Ms. Druckman received her MM with academic honors from the New England Conservatory, studying Historical Musicology and Choral Conducting, with a focus on Middle Renaissance Polyphony. She was the 2018 recipient of NEC's Gunther Schuller Award. Prior to NEC, Ms. Druckman attended Columbia University, where her thesis and concert series about the Orpheus myth earned her departmental honors. Further studies were undertaken at Westminster Choir College, the European-American Musical Alliance, the International Institute for Conductors, the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute, and the Mannes College of Music.
